Before installation
Before starting any intervention cycle, it is essential to eliminate any infiltration or presence of water. This operation is crucial because the success of the subsequent works depends on it. It is important to remember that if this step is not carried out correctly, any detachment and/or anomaly in the wall cannot be attributed to the newly applied system. Before preparing the substrates, proceed as follows:
- Check the cohesion and adhesion of existing plaster and paint by tapping, and remove all detaching portions. Small portions can be restored with the same adhesive product supplied with the corrective cycle. For larger portions and significant detachments, it is advisable to restore with a mineral-based mortar, preferably hydraulic lime-based.
- To fix the substrates, it is recommended to use suitable primers for each cycle applied.
