Description

BINDER is a transparent fixative primer based on potassium silicate, designed for deep support consolidation.

Thanks to its high penetration power into the substrate, chemical bonding, water vapor permeability, and chemical composition physically akin to that of building materials, BINDER has a specific use also as a fixative-consolidating agent in the restoration of old facades. It also can be used as a primer that consolidating the surface while reducing absorption and salt concentration.

Features

Composition: modified potassium silicate and stabilizing additives in an aqueous solution with
a pH value of 11.
Coverage: 7-10 m²/l depending on the porosity of the substrate.
Curing Time: deep dry: 24–48 hours; Cvercoat time: 8–10 hours;
Pack size: 1 liter – 6 cans in cardboard boxes for a total of 6 liters.

Use

First coat for hydro-repellent silicate treatment of mineral supports such as: stone,
masonry, concrete, old and new plasters, etc
It is used as an isolating and anchoring primer that penetrates deeply into the masonry.
Consolidating the surface while reducing absorption and salt concentration.
It can be use as a fixative-consolidating agent in the restoration of old facades.
Adhesion promoter for colored silicate finishes.
